Luxor to Cairo Discovery Adventure

Egypt, home to the seventh wonder of the world and the only wonder of the world to still exist today. No holiday to Egypt would be complete without a visit to the great Pyramids at Giza, The Valley of the Kings and the Ancient Temple at Karnak.

Day 1: Arrive at Luxor and check into the hotel. Welcome meeting and lunch. Followed by a visit to the Temple of Luxor, the seat of the great Amun, prayed and idolized to by the great pharaohs and people of Egypt. Afterwards, a calesh ride through the city of Luxor, taking in the sights and sounds of this bustling city. Followed by coffee and relax back at the hotel.

Day 2: Early rise and transfer to the West bank by river boat. Here we will visit the world famous Valley of the Kings. After lunch at a local restaurant we will explore Hatshepsut Temple complex, the only true Egyptian female pharaoh. Followed by a coffee break at Habu Temple, once refreshed its time to discover the secrets that this magnificent Temple has to offer. Loose yourselves in the grounds which have been home to mankind for over millennium. Afterwards a dinner in the shadow of the temple before returning to hotel.

Day 3: A short calesh ride to the Temple of Karnak, where we will explore this great Temple complex, having the record as the world’s largest man made Temple and spanning thousands of years. There is still much to discover in this awesome place. The Temple offers a café where we will refresh and gather our strength for the rest of the day’s activities. After lunch its back to the hotel for a rest and possible sunbathe. Then its time to enjoy an evening meal at a local restaurant on the East bank before departing for Cairo on the night train.

Day 4: Arrive in Cairo, check into the Victoria Hotel. After breakfast and refresh, it’s off to the great pyramids of Giza and its guardian the amazing Sphinx. Followed by lunch in a local restaurant. Back to the hotel to relax. The evening brings entertainment, shopping and great meal at the famous Khan el Khanlili.

Day 5: No rush as the Egyptian museum which houses most of the greatest works of art ever to be crafted by man. Here we will explore floor by floor the antiquities which have brought explorers, archaeologists, holiday makers and tourists to Egypt for centuries. After lunch back to the hotel to relax and await the night train back to Luxor.

Day 6: Arrive Luxor and transfer from the railway station to your hotel, check in and after a relax and breakfast, a trip to the newly refurbished Luxor museum. After lunch at a local restaurant its back to the hotel for a sunbathe and relax, evening meal at a local restaurant on the East bank.

Day 7: After breakfast, transfer via river boat to the West bank and transfer to the stables , where your camels await to take you on a Nile river walk, passing through various parts of the village to witness everyday Egyptian life. After a coffee break it’s off to the Tombs of the Nobles at the foot of the Theban hillside, here we will explore the tombs of the long forgotten officials that ran Egypt. After lunch it’s off to the Rammeseum then on to a local restaurant on the West bank via the Colossi of Memnon, for an evening of farewell entertainment and food.

Day 8: Depart from Luxor airport.
