Set
on a sandy ridge, these three pyramids sit providing an
insight into the minds of the pharaohs who built them some
4000 years ago. Small they may be, but they are still impressive
and the Morturay Temples have provided a wealth of information
in the form of preserved Papyri which is still being studied
at the British Museum in London.
As recently as 1998 a discovery of a 6th century BC cemetery
containing undisturbed tombs has provided yet more knowledge
of ancient Egypt.
