Esna - Temple of Khnum

Buried deep within the town of Esna stands this Ptolemaic / Roman Temple, possibly one of the last to be built in Egypt. However not much has survived over the centuries unlike its older predecessors. Although it does have an impressive Hypostyle hall with Lotus flower capitals supporting the roof of the temple.

It is also possible to see the remains of an ancient quay near to the Nile side and is still most definitely a worthwhile trip.
