Built by Ramses II and re-built by UNESCO. Further inland than most sites throughout Egypt this is arguably the most awesome of sites in Egypt. Rivalling that of the Pyramids in for size and ingenuity. It was completely buried until 1909 when all the deposited sand was removed to reveal this fantastic temple.

It is definitely worth the trouble of flying or travelling to by A/C Mini bus to visit.

Do remember to open the Dark Steel Door to the rear to reveal its hidden secrets!!!
