Immortalised by Howard Carter and his historic and world famous discovery in 1922 of Tutankhamen. The treasures which today can be seen in Cairo museum and the new wing at Luxor museum. However there are 62 tombs to choose from at the valley of the kings. Unfortunately not all of them are open to the public due to preservation. Therefore it is well worth planning your trip in advance and asking if the tombs you wish to visit are open. Allow plenty of time and possibly even more than one visit to this awesome place. The tombs will take your breath away and to avoid the hustle and bustle of the many tourists that visit this site everyday choose the furthest point which happens to be Tuthmose IV and work backwards. Remember to take plenty of water and Baksheesh and don't forget to charge you camera battery.

*(Q.E.A would like to remind all of its guests and anyone considering visiting The Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Deir Al Medina and The Nobles that we throughly discorage any flash photography within the tombs and please keep your visits within the tombs to a minimum.
