As an example of what you can experience with Q.E.A, we have put together this sample tour. Please use this if you wish as a template, but remember the desert can be a hostile place, so do not forget to add your breaks into your itinerary. Our experienced guides are always on hand to show you the best possible spots for refreshments and vantage points for that important photo shoot.


7:00am -
A typical day will start with one of our guides personally collecting and escorting you to the stables on the West Bank (Western Thebes) via motor boat and air conditioned mini buses.

Once you have arrived refreshments such as Shai & Karkadey will be offered amongst others. We will brief you on the day’s itinerary and health and safety issues together with basic horse riding skills.

8:00am -

- Once saddled up, there is a short trek to the desert through the
sugar plantations and local villages of mud brick houses with their narrow streets unchanged for centuries which will give you an insight into Egyptian life.

Arrival at the Q.E.A Beduoin Tent Q.E.A's Bedouin tent awaits you in the dunes to offer you the much needed oasis where refreshments and snacks will be on offer with the inclusion of Shai and traditional Basbousa Cake.

10:00am -

- Then after a short break its on to Malqata where we will begin the desert trek and you can witness for yourself what a spectacular and beautiful place the desert really is.




Off into the Desert!!!

The Best Musician in Town - Abu Diab

Back to the Bedouin tent where you can wash and relax in the comfortable provided seating area while awaiting a traditional Egyptian lunch. There will be entertainment provided by a dancing horse and local musician Abu Diab.

1:00pm -

- Afterwards, onwards to The Temple of Hatshepsut via the Western desert passing by the ancient villages (El Gourna) which cling to the base of the Theban Hills. Taking an alternative route to that of the tourist and their coaches; we emerge from the rocky outcrop to the side of the temple providing you with an unbelievable view point (a definite photo opportunity). Here, at Hatshepsut you can at your leisure explore this architectural wonder that has been sculpted into this cliff face. Afterwards back to the one of the most colourful temples in Western Thebes via the Ramesseum. The Temple of Habu, built primarily by Ramses II. Here you can see one of the greatest and most colourfully preserved temples Egypt has to offer.

The Evenings Entertainment Unfolds

- Following this there will be a short trek back to the Bedouin tent in time for you to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets over the Theban Hills. The evening will then be full of entertainment and traditional Egyptian food and drink provided by local Chef’s. A local snake charmer accompanied by Abu Diab and his band will entertain you. (Sheesha will also be available)

As the day draws to an end an air conditioned minibus and motorboat awaits and we will personally take you back to your respective hotels where you can boast to your fellow guests about your desert adventures.
